Liza Clifton is thrilled to be at TCPS sharing her passion for teaching and working with students to be the best they can be! Liza first was introduced to TCPS as a parent. She joined TCPS in 2024 teaching middle school history and research and transitioned to a part-time special subjects and support teacher. Liza has been teaching for over 20 years first teaching high school social sciences and later working as a support teacher specializing in reading intervention and assisting students with learning challenges at K-12 indepdent schools. She looks forward to helping her students think not only about the subjects they are studying but also about how they learn best.
Liza has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California San Diego. She has her Single Subject Teaching Credential in English and Social Sciences and reading certification from San Diego State University. She has additional training in Educational Therapy through Cal State Northridge. When not at TCPS Liza loves spending time with her family!
