Kindergarten - 8th grade

Our Director of Admissions will lead you on a personal parent tour to visit classes, meet teachers, and see us in action. Tour to learn how TCPS can be the best “right fit” school for your child.
STEP 2
APPLY
ONLINE
Submit your online admissions application. This includes a $125 application fee. We also will request a Teacher Recommendation, to be completed online after your application is submitted.
STEP 3
SCHEDULE
INTERVIEW
Once your application file is complete, we will schedule a time for your child to meet with one of our teachers for a 30-45 minute visit and student tour to begin to get to know your child better.

Grades K - 8th Admissions ~ What to Expect:
Admissions Timeline for All Grades
For Early Decision: Apply by November 30th for an admissions decision in December.
Priority decision: Apply by February 1, to receive an admission decision in March.
ROLLING admissions to fill open seats in select grades - March - Summer.

*Are you interested in a mid-year transfer for 2026-27?
We consider transfer applications for grades that have an open seat.

One of the founding values of The Child’s Primary School is making a private school education available to as many San Diego families as possible.
We strive to keep tuition as low as we can and offer a strong financial assistance program for students who might otherwise not be able to attend.
