Science Teacher, Elementary & Middle School
Abby is thrilled to be teaching science at TCPS! She has a love for science, children, and learning - and especially for those moments when students experience a sense of wonder and discovery.
Abby has a B.S. and M.S. in Geology and worked as a Geologist prior to raising her children. She then ran a small business, teaching robotics classes for grades 2-5 until she decided to pursue a teaching credential through Point Loma Nazarene University. Since then she has been a middle school science teacher and has loved working to make science accessible, exciting and relatable for students. Abby enjoys teaching each of the sciences and finds that being with children is an endless source of inspiration. She considers it a great privilege to be a part of her students’ learning and growth.
She and her husband Tim have three daughters and as a family they love to take road trips, hike and be outside together. They have lived in San Diego since 2010.
