Each year TCPS Fourth and Eighth Grade students participate in an essay contest sponsored by the Friends of the San Diego Public Library and San Diego Schools. Pictured here are our TCPS winners along with Judy Edelblute, the Chairperson of the Library Essay Contest for the Balboa Branch, at the awards ceremony and reception that was held recently. In addition, TCPS’ Fourth and Eighth grade writers have been selected as Overall Winners for their grade and their essays have been forwarded for citywide judging with the winning essays from each of San Diego’s branch libraries, which is a reflection of the strong academic standards of The Child’s Primary School.
