Student Council 2012-2013
Elections for TCPS Student Council Officers and Student Representatives will be held on October 8th, 2012. Students running for Student Council Officer positions are required to present a campaign speech during a school-wide meeting.
Student Council is a wonderful learning experience for students and participation is a great way to build leadership skills.
A Letter from the Student Council President
Hi, my name is Chameli and I am your 2011-2012 Student Council President! I have wanted to be the president of our Student Council since kindergarten. I love TCPS very much; so representing it by leading Student Council has always been something that I have wanted to do. There are so many great things about TCPS. It is such a close community. I always feel at home here. I am excited that I get the opportunity to be the Student Council President this year.
A lot of fun things are planned for this school year. Soon we are going to have our school movie day! On movie day, Student Council will select a fun movie for the whole school to watch together. We will also be having spirit days where student council picks a various theme for each day and students can dress up in different costumes each day to show their school spirit. In the past we have had days like pajama day, crazy hair day, and character day. The Student Store has just opened and will be available after school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We will be selling snacks and fun school supplies. We just finished a toy drive for AJ's Kids Crane and collected over 100 toys for patients at Rady Children's Hospital. There will be more charity fundraisers as the year goes on.
