Giving

Making a positive difference in the lives of individual students is the most important goal of The Child's Primary School. Achieving this goal is especially rewarding when the student herself acknowledges the change. A student who attended TCPS a few years ago was moved to write the following letter:

"Thank you so much for everything that you helped me accomplish in the past year. Not only do my parents see a difference in me, but I do too. TCPS has taught me much more than the typical math, language arts, science and history. It has also taught me about respect, responsibility, and honesty.  I am looking forward to growing into a person who goes to a work interview and they say "Wow, she's hired! She is not only smart, but she is responsible, honest and cares about everyone around her," and then tell them where I learned these wonderful skills." - Katy, Class of 2006

We often receive feedback from former students and their parents regarding the time they spent at TCPS.  By enabling students to discover the joy of life long learning, TCPS changes lives.  We strive to help each student discover and realize their full potential.  We believe in order to achieve that goal we need to help the student develop academically and as a person.  In order to ensure that each student receives the individual attention necessary to help them achieve, we are committed to maintaining the small class sizes of 12 students per grade level in the lower grades and 16 students per grade level in the upper grades.

At TCPS we strive to keep tuition as low as possible in order to make our program available to as many families as possible.  Our fundraising program allows us to bridge the gap between the costs associated with offering such small class sizes and the tuition which we charge.  Additionally, our fundraising allows us to maintain diversity in our school by providing us the ability to offer scholarships to families who desire the program offered at TCPS but would otherwise not be able to afford to attend.

During the first semester of each year, TCPS sponsors its Annual Giving Campaign.  The Annual Giving Campaign offers several donor clubs designed to provide giving opportunities for donors at all levels.  The annual Jogathon, sponsored by The Parent Group (TPG), takes place during the second semester.  During the weeks leading up to the Jogathon, students and staff collect pledges for laps they run. Parents, family and friends have the opportunity to underwrite, advertise and bid on a broad range of items in the Silent Auction.

We appreciate many ways of giving at TCPS. You may specify that your gift be targeted for a specific program or purpose, or you may leave your gift unrestricted to be used where it's needed most.

Your can make your gifts in a variety of forms including outright gifts of cash, securities, and real estate or through planned giving options such as bequests and life income plans. Your gift to TCPS is tax-deductible.
