The TCPS Gift Book Club
We have a tax-deductible gift idea that will be an honor to your child and remembered for many years at The Child’s Primary School. You can buy a book for the school’s library and have it as a part of the collection for other children to also enjoy.
With your donation, the school purchases a book for the library. This price covers the cost of the book and other library expenses. The new text has a book plate put inside the front cover with a tribute to a special person you name. You can give these books for birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, holidays, bar and bat mitzvahs and any other occasions when gifts are exchanged. You may give this book in honor of your grandchild or in memory of a loved one.
Librarian Ms. Jenny Belk selects a book for the library that will be meaningful for your child. In this way, you can be assured that the book will be a perfect addition to the library and be an inspiration to the special person you are honoring. He or she will then have a chance to take the book home for a week to enjoy with his or her family and to share with friends. After a week, the book is returned and becomes part of the TCPS library.
What a wonderful thing it is to give the gift of reading to our children. Colorful portraits draw a child’s interest to a classic tale. Fables and fantasies, adventures and mysteries are theirs at the turn of a page. A child’s rapt attention to the story, characters and illustration is a marvel to watch. One of a teacher’s greatest pleasures is having a book that, when opened, brings a new world to a child’s life.
