Well, we’ve just finished our first week, and I had such a great time seeing everyone! As a Middle School we met each day to do some fun group bonding activities and to determine our PACT “agreements”. Here is our PACT:
1. Act as a team
2. Listen
3. Be proud of accomplishments
4. Support community outreach
5. Be respectful
6. Have fun!
To end the week, we had a Middle School pizza party.
We started language arts this year by talking about genres in literature. Our required summer reading was a fantasy book, so to follow up in the same genre, I read a Kurt Vonnegut short story to the 7th and 8 graders.
